In Memory of Patricia “Penny” Sipe


August 18, 1938 - March 8, 2025

Patricia “Penny” Sipe, age 86, a long-time resident of the Town of Chicog, died on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Cumberland Health and Rehab.

Penny was born on August 18, 1938, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to parents Harold and Patricia (Bridges) Wise. She was united in marriage to Othel “Cy” Sipe. The couple moved from Lawrence, Kansas, to the Town of Chicog in 1988. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Spooner where she was a member of the CCW, and was a very avid bowler for her entire adult life.

Penny is survived by her children Teresa (Martin) Corrie of the Town of Chicog, Julie Stowe of Lawrence, Kansas, Debbie (Dale Brueggeman) Filkins of Lawrence, Kansas, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, sisters Judith (Dave) Vick, Barbara (Gary) Lawless, brother Steven (Jackie) Wise, daughter in law Barbara Steenerson, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Penny is preceded in death by her husband Cy, son Michael Sipe, daughters Michelle (Sipe) Beaulieu and Margo Wilde.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Spooner. Interment will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with her husband.
