In Memory of Priscilla Henk


February 4, 1945 - December 24, 2022

Priscilla “Sue J” Henk, age 77, of Hayward, WI, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.

Sue J was born on February 4, 1945, in Minneapolis, MN, to parents, Arnold and Priscilla (Kalina) Anderson.

A year after her graduation from Central High School in 1963, Sue moved to Hayward, WI. In 1982 she began dating Henry “Buddy” Henk and were later married in 1989. Sue spent over 30 years waitressing at the Co-op Restaurant where she made many wonderful friendships.

Sue was a member of the VFW Aux #7233 where she served in many capacities such as president and guard. She was a member of the Women of the Moose for many years and helped with the Christmas 4 Kids charity. Sue was also the treasurer for the Spooner Special Olympics team and coached for both the bowling and track & field team and made sure to attend all of the practices and events. She enjoyed gardening in her free time and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sue had a special bond with her great granddaughter, Lily, who extended her life.  

Sue is survived by her children, Christine Morris, Debora (Loren) Betzer, and Patrick Jaskolski; grandchildren, Nikolaus Morris, Amee Cook, Kenneth Morris, Mindee Walls, and Kimberly Morris; 16 great grandchildren with one on the way; siblings, Bill (Marsha) Anderson, Mike (Barb) Anderson, Duane Anderson, and Jackie (Scott) McGuire; 4 stepsons; many nieces and nephews; and her very best friend since 5th grade, Carolee Lundsten.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy; parents; and brother, Ronald Anderson.

A funeral service will be held at the Hayward Funeral Home in Hayward, WI, on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation 2 hours prior. A burial at the Evergreen Cemetery will take place at a later date.
