
In Memory of Raymond D. Kellogg
Raymond D. Kellogg, age 94, formerly of Cameron, WI died Monday, July 21st, 2025 at Cornell Health Services. He was born June 16th, 1931 in St. Paul, MN. He was raised by his grandparents, James & Nellie Lingle, while his mother, Alma Lingle, worked to provide for the family during the great depression. Ray served in the US Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. When he came home he couldn’t find work, but eventually in 1954, he found a job at Pevey’s Paper Mill in Ladysmith where he worked for about 6 years. It was at Pevey’s where Ray met his beloved wife, Dorothy Day. The couple were married on August 19th, 1958 at Pine City, MN. For 58 years, they never went to bed mad at each other. Ray worked many jobs throughout the years. He managed the former Holiday Station in Cameron, was shipping foreman at the former Holsum Bakery in Rice Lake & provided maintenance at the old Barron County Courthouse. Ray retired in 1993 & traveled extensively with his wife, most memorably to Hawaii & Alaska. He also loved deer hunting & trout fishing. Ray faithfully served our veterans & the local community as the member of the Piper-Marsh American Legion Post 194 of Cameron for 70 years. He was also a life member of the VFW & Disabled American Veterans in Rice Lake. Ray’s hope & comfort was to be with our Lord & Savior in eternity.
Ray is survived by his daughter: Sherry Kellogg, granddaughter: LaToya Kellogg, great grandson: Onyx Kellogg, daughter: Geraldine (Jerry) Chartraw, brother: Ronald (Bev) Baguhn, as well as many more grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, nieces, & nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 28th at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron with Chaplain Michelle Earls officiating & interment following in the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at Spooner. Visitation will be held for the hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Ray & family would like to express special thanks to friend, Jill Fenske, for many years of help, service & visits. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Rice Lake Cat Coalition. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
