February 2, 1945  -  September 23, 2016

Raymond Michael Donatell, age 71,  from Hudson, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  He was born February 2, 1945 to Irene and Carmen Donatell.  He graduated from Spooner High School in 1963, received his Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education from Stevens Point in 1968, and earned his Master of Arts in Teaching from Northeastern Illinois University in 1972.  Raymond was a beloved father, brother and friend.  He touched many lives while teaching Physical Science at Meyer Middle School for 34 years. 

Raymond had a passion for the outdoors, which is reflected in his sons and seen in the many conservation efforts he participated in throughout his life.  Whether it was assisting his two sons with Eagle Scout projects or teaching a summer course in fishing to area youth, he was always trying to promote conservation for the future.  His heart was in the Donatell family cabin at Stone Lake, Wisconsin where he was instrumental in implementing plans to protect and improve the lake while spending time with family.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Irene, father Carmen, and brothers Hank (Jan) and Tom (Sally).  He is survived by brothers Bruce, John (Sam); sisters Sue (John), Mary(Bill); and sons Jordan(Lisa) and Josh(Casey).  The funeral service will be held on Friday September 30th 2016, at St. Phillips Catholic Church in Stone Lake, WI.  Visitation will begin at 10am, followed by the funeral service at 11am and lunch.
