Richard (Dick) Duane Kahl, age 83, of Prairie Farm, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Barron Care and Rehab in Barron.

Dick was born on July 11, 1941 to Walter and Beatrice (Olson) Kahl in Prairie Farm. He graduated from Prairie Farm High School and worked for Jerome Foods for many years.

He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by sons, Tom Kahl of Barron and Jim Kahl of Prairie Farm; daughter, Kim (Tom) Schoonover of Connersville; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Terry (Brenda) Kahl of Billings, MT; sisters, Yvonne Weber of Roy, UT and Karen (Doug) Kurschner of Almena; as well as nieces; nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Greg; grandsons, Aaron and Zach; brother, Steven; sisters, Marlys Lundequam and Joanne Potter; brother-in-Law Bob Weber.

A funeral service for Richard will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church of Arland. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Independent Cemetery in the Town of Arland.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
