In Memory of Robert "Bob" K. Poreda
Robert “Bob” Keith Poreda, at nearly 75 years old, passed away on Feb. 1, 2025, in Hayward, WI. He was born to Henry and Florence (Eisenlohr) Poreda in Chicago, IL on Feb. 19th, 1950.
Bob grew up in Chicago with his siblings, cousins, and extended family. He entered the sheet metal trade, married his young love, Rhoda Pierz, and started a family. Early in their marriage, Bob moved his family to a cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. For a time, life took him back to the city, but eventually he made his way back up north. His work shifted to woodworking, first in log homes then to custom handcrafted tables. Each day on Bob’s rounds he created friendships and memories. Bob enjoyed the simple things in life–hot coffee, cold beer, old songs, tight hugs, pretty women, a smoke, a bad joke, a good laugh, close friends, and family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Kenneth (Ken), Henry Jr (Hank), and Janice Poreda. He is survived by his children Brandi (Isaac) and Jason (Amanda) Poreda; grandchildren: Renee, Gerek, and Clara Blaesing; Elexa, Ethen, and Everet Poreda; siblings: Judy Ruicker, Margaret “Maggie” (Mike) Klimek, and Michael John (Carol) Poreda; as well as beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Coop’s Pizza, Hayward, Wisconsin. A private gathering (TBA) will be held at a later date to toast Bob’s life.
