Robert "Bob" Krueger, 79, of Shell Lake died peacefully Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the city he helped build, Shell Lake, WI. He was born January 31, 1938 in Sarona, WI to Walter and Marcella (Frey) Krueger.

Bob was married to the love of his life, Rudene Jacisin on November 21, 1959.

A carpenter and community leader, Bob's humility was only overshadowed by his generosity. He was a long time member of the Shell Lake Lions Club, receiving the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in 2011. Bob was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was instrumental in the building of several Habitat for Humanity homes. He loved nothing more than his wife, children and grandchildren. Never far from his woodworking or his shop, Bob also enjoyed camping with his family, hunting, fishing and golf.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Bob will be missed by many. He is survived by: his wife, Rudene of Shell Lake; 1 daughter, Julie Krueger of Lino Lakes, MN; 3 sons, Kevin (Joanne) Krueger of Lake Tomahawk, WI, Mark (Gina) Krueger of Shell Lake, WI and Dan (Liz) Krueger of Lake Elmo, MN; 10 grandchildren; 1 brother, Charlie (Robin) Krueger of Hudson, WI and 1 sister, Cindy (Wayne) Moore of Spooner. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Stephen, and 1 sister, Rosalie Schnell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shell Lake, WI with Father Bala Showry officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Shell Lake, WI. Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday at the Skinner Funeral Home, Shell Lake and one hour prior to service on Wednesday at the church.

Skinner Funeral Home of Shell Lake is serving the family.
