In Memory of Robert Peterson


June 27, 1929 - October 11, 2019

Robert Irwin Peterson of Luck, Wisconsin died October 11, 2019 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was 90 years old.

Robert was born on June 27, 1929 in the community of West Denmark on Little Butternut Lake to Wilmar and Agnes Peterson. He was a dairy farmer and a life-long resident. As a young man, Robert enlisted in the Army and was stationed in France for two years. Upon returning home, he enrolled in a tool and die program at the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN. Robert then returned home to assist his father on the farm, eventually taking over the family dairy operation. After retiring from farming, Robert started running and was an active member of the Luck Running Club. Robert was proud of his Danish heritage, being a fourth-generation descendant of one of the founding families of Luck. He will be missed by friends and family.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a sister, Elaine Conde, and nine nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the West Denmark Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 17th - visitation at 10:00 AM, service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Linda Rozumalski officiating. Burial will be at West Denmark Lutheran Cemetery after the service. Please join the family for a luncheon at the church following the service.
