Rodger Myron Peterson Age 84, of Rice Lake, WI, died Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in Rice Lake.

He was born on February 5, 1940 in Rice Lake to Myron and Winnie (Hergert) Peterson. Rodger attended Rice Lake High School and was married to Dawn Steinert on October 21, 1961 in Rice Lake. He owned and operated Peterson Auto Body in Rice Lake with his brother for many years and thereafter, worked at Cedar Glass and Door in Rice Lake. He loved stock cars, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and going camping.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Peterson; 3 children, Brian Peterson, Mark Peterson and Tara Matthes; 3 grandchildren, Noah, Garrett, and Zoey; a sister, Dawn (Jim) Wolf; sister-in-law, Kris Peterson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abbey Matthes; his parents, Myron and Winnie Peterson; and a brother, Lonnie Peterson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Monday, February 10, 2025 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Rev. Tim Jerry officiating, with interment in Orchard Beach Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
