In Memory of Roger B. Schramski


March 15, 1935 - December 9, 2023

Roger Benedict Schramski, age 88, of Clear Lake, WI, formerly of Clayton, WI died on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his home following a battle with cancer. Roger was born on March 15, 1935, at home in Turtle Lake, WI; son of Benedict and Mabel (Reetz) Schramski. He was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Ann Catholic Church in Turtle Lake, WI. He attended Turtle Lake School. He then worked on the family farm until he moved to Minneapolis and worked construction, and then at Fairway Foods.

On June 9, 1956, Roger was united in marriage to JoAnn Prusak. They moved back to Wisconsin a short time later and started farming. Roger also worked at the Turtle Lake Creamery during that time. Roger then became a milk hauler until they purchased their first farm. In 1964 they bought the Prusak Farm Homestead where they worked side by side farming until retirement.

Together Roger and JoAnn had five daughters. Roger and JoAnn enjoyed traveling; some of their best trips were to Hawaii, Alaska, Branson MO, Florida, and Arizona.

Roger had many hobbies including camping (which he was still doing at the young age of 88), watching the Admiral Inn softball team, hosting 4th of July firework parties, and woodworking. He made many toys for the grandchildren. Roger was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mable Schramski, In-Laws Joe and Helen Prusak, infant daughter; Bonnie Mae; daughter; Joyce Hilton; Brother; Ben Schramski Jr.; Sister; Pat Tarman; and Brothers In-Law Kenton Oestreich, Carver Fouks, and Doug Klatt.

Roger is survived by his Beloved wife, JoAnn; and daughters: Paula (Rick) Anderson of Clayton, WI, Jodi(LaMoyne) Emerson of Clear Lake, WI, and Mary Jo (Karl) Klatt of Clayton, WI; son-in-law, Scott (Karen) Hilton. Also, 11 Grandchildren; Chad (Katie) Anderson, Stacie (Luke) Hoff, Zachary (Stephanie) Hilton, Lisa (Jim) Everson, Nicole (Michael) Kuc, Jason (Alisha) Anderson, Tyler (Chelsea Standaert) Emerson, Krista (Andrew) Amundsen, Tiffany (Brandon Nelson) Emerson, Trevor (Jenna) Klatt, Hunter (Elizabeth) Klatt. 23 Great-Grandchildren. Sisters: Eunice Fouks, and Donna Klatt, Brothers-In-Law: Bob Tarman; Joe (Lorna)Prusak, Phil (Pam) Prusak, John (Duffy) Prusak, Sisters- In-Law: Diean Schramski, and Pat Oestreich. Along with his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

We would like to send a sincere Thank You to the caring staff at St.Croix Hospice, as well as to all our family and friends for their support during this time.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, December 14 from 4-7 pm at Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake, WI with a rosary at 3:30 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann Church, Turtle Lake, WI on Friday, December 15 at 10:30 am with visitation one hour before the service at church. The burial will take place at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Rural Clayton, WI. Pallbearers are Chad Anderson, Zachary Hilton, Jason Anderson, Tyler Emerson, Trevor Klatt, and Hunter Klatt.
