In Memory of Roland J. Strickland


July 28, 1956 - May 12, 2026

Roland James Strickland, 69 of Cumberland passed unexpectedly Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Marshfield Hospital in Marshfield, WI. After a year of struggles and blessings from a motorcycle accident in May of 2025, Roland had complications following another back surgery.

Roland had numerous passions in life. Hunting, Fishing, Playing Guitar, Riding Motorcycle with “brothers”, and he was gifted in custom steel fabrication and custom building. These all came second to his true passion of spending time with his grandsons. No one told stories like grampa Rol. His imagination rivaled the greats, and all his grandsons knew they couldn’t believe anything grampa said.

Roland was many things. A strong, loving husband, an amazing and dedicated father, a doting grandfather, and a loyal friend. He was a hard worker, an artist, and a skilled craftsman. He was an avid dog lover and master of the charcoal grill. He loved the Lord and leaves a legacy of men seeking after the Lord.

Roland was born July 28th, 1956 to DuWayne and Esther (Ranallo) Strickland of Cumberland, WI. In 1981 Roland married Robin DeNucci of Cumberland. Roland and Robin were blessed with 2 children, son- Seth and daughter- Angela. Roland worked at Stella Cheese from 1982 to 1991. Upon closing he went back to school and became a fabricator, working at Johnson Truck Bodies until 2005 when he and Robin decided to start their own construction business which he retired from in 2023.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents, DuWayne and Esther, in-laws, James and Darlene DeNucci, sister- Kathy DeNucci, brother Bob Strickland, and other relatives.

Roland is survived by his wife Robin, son Seth (Erika), daughter Angela (James), and grandsons Cadence, Orion, Levi, Gabriel, Anakin, and Torren. Two brothers, Arnie (Diana) and Tom (Pam), Brother in Law Mike, sister in law Judy, brothers in law Alan (Phyllis) and Kevin DeNucci. Aunt Sister Richelle Ranallo and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life with be Sunday May 24th from 2-5 PM with service at 3PM at High Valley Ranch- 729 23 3/4 & 23 1/2 Ave. Cumberland, WI
