
In Memory of Ronald D. Robotka
Ronald David Robotka, age 66, of Rice Lake, WI, died Monday, April 27, 2026 at his home. He was born on August 22, 1959 in Rice Lake to Joseph and Marjorie (Busse) Robotka. Ron graduated from Birchwood High School in 1978.
Ron was a logger all of his life and worked for Robotka Logging. He then entered the United States Marines and later he was Honorably Discharged. He then worked for Louisiana Pacific in Hayward, Davey Tree Company in California, PUSH in Rice Lake, and Hagney Timber and Land in Rice Lake.
Ron started Red Rock Campground in Birchwood in 2011. Ron was an arborist, enjoyed the outdoors, watching the animals and enjoyed collecting mushrooms, berries and Ginseng. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and being with his duck, Ducky.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaci Robotka (Kegan Folds); 2 grandchildren, Xalen Bergstrom and Mac Horstman; his best buddy, Laurie Erickson; 3 brothers, Don (Iwa) Robotka, Bill (Anita) Robotka and John E. (Jessica) Robotka; 3 sisters, Kathleen Gohde, Barbara Beyreis and Peggy Gassler; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marjorie Robotka; 3 brothers-in-law, Allan Gohde, Tom Gassler and Michael Beyreis; 2 nephews, Hunter Robotka and Brian Wagner; a niece, Stacey Wilkins.
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, with Deacon Rod Knight officiating, with interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Birchwood, WI, where Military Rites accorded him by the Birchwood American Legion Post. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Birchwood American Legion Post on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 1:30PM-5PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Birchwood American Legion or the Birchwood Food Pantry.
