In Memory of Ronald D. Wilson


May 3, 1951 - June 15, 2025

Ronald Duane Wilson, 74 years old, of New Richmond, WI, passed away on June 15, 2025 at his home after a challenging two year battle with cancer. Ron was born in Amery, WI to Gerald Wilson and Irene (Marquand) Wilson on May 3, 1951. Gerald passed away, and Irene then married Hub Anderson and Hub raised Ronnie as his own. Ronnie attended a number of schools as a child and graduated from Amery High School in 1969. He married Nancy Kay Dunn on March 8, 1975 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in New Richmond, WI. Together, he and Nancy had four children, Benjamin, Brian, April and Amy. Ron worked a variety of jobs at Doboy Feeds/Domain Inc. for 28 years before becoming a self-employed carpenter from 1998-2023, working many of those years with his son, Brian. He was an active member at Little Falls Lutheran Church, volunteering and serving on the church council. He was active in the Polk County 4-H as a youth, and he continued as an adult leader. Ron coached the Little Falls Livewires 4-H Softball team and was a leader in the dog project. He was also a Boy Scout leader. Ron loved people and he never passed an opportunity to have a conversation or lend a helping hand. He also loved hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.

Ron is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy; children, Ben Wilson, Brian Wilson and April (Scott) Morgan; his sister and brother, Bonnie Fredrickson and Loren (Renee) Anderson; grandchildren, Jocelyn Wilson, Kellen Wilson, Bryce Wilson, McKenzi Wilson, Clay Morgan, Carly Morgan, and Trent Morgan; in addition to several loving and extended family members.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wilson; mother and father, Irene and Hub Anderson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wally and Vi Dunn; infant daughter, Amy; and brothers, Virgil Wilson, Vernon Wilson and infant brother, Michael Wilson.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, WI.  Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Little Falls Lutheran Church in Amery, WI, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at the Little Falls Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
