Ronald Edwin Adamski, age 90, of Rice Lake, WI, and Birchwood, WI, died Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in Rice Lake. He was born on June 17, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI to Edwin and Alice (Kochnovich) Adamski.

Ron graduated from Don Bosco High School in 1953 and then attended Marquette University for a year in Milwaukee. He worked as a mason, bartender, and salesman in a men’s clothing store. Ron was drafted into the United States Army for 2 years and was Honorably Discharged. He was married to Shirley Pluta and later they had a daughter, Pamela.

Ron worked for Milwaukee County Ambulance and then he worked for Milwaukee County House of Correction for 30 years. Ron was in charge of the inmates work release program. Ron met Barbara Scholz Burckhardt while they both worked for the House of Correction and married on March 14, 1986 in Florida.

Ron loved to dance, listen to music, party on the pontoon, fish, golf, NASCAR racing, having a good drink and watched many sporting events. He was a season ticket holder for the Green Bay Packers. Ron was honest, handsome, fair, very personable and had a very soft heart.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Adamski; 6 children, Brian Burckhardt, Beth (Tony) Neumann, Brett Burckhardt, Pamela (Richard) Ladewig, Brenda (Jamie) DiMaggio and Barry (Felly) Burckhardt; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Burckhardt, daughter-in-law, Debbie Burckhardt, and brothers-in-law, Mark Scholz and Frank Krisman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Saturday, September 5, 2026 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Birchwood, WI, with interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Birchwood, WI. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church.
