Rosemarie (Friedmann) Reiter, 80, of Frederic, Wisconsin, Rosemarie got her wings on July 15, 2019. 

Rosemarie was born April 5, 1939 in Enzberg, Germany to Eugen and Sofie (Schweikert) Friedmann. She grew up in Germany. Rose fell in love with a soldier, Vernon B. “Red” Reiter who returned to Germany as a civilian to marry her. This enabled Rose to come to America and then they had a “real” wedding in Minnesota. Rosie worked and studied very hard to earn her citizenship and was very proud of her accomplishment. She was a hard worker which was evident in her beautiful gardens, from which she sold her flowers and vegetables at the local farmers markets. She also sold her homemade rugs. Rose was a talented pianist, could play anything and shared this talent with many friends. She was kind and a giving soul. While Rosie and Vern did not have any children, their love of dogs was always evident. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by a special cousin in Germany, Doris (Hans) Mueller. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Rena Weber, Dori Reiter, Sharon Reiter, Mady Reiter, Lorraine Reiter, and Joyce Reiter; along with many nieces and nephews. She leaves to mourn her church family and many, many friends. 

Rosie’s family would like to especially thank Lakeview Medical Center Hospice Care, United Pioneer Nursing Home, and most importantly Rita, Nancy, and Marylynn who have given of their faithful friendship and unselfish care to our dear sister Rosie. Thank you also to her friends and church family at Bone Lake Lutheran for volunteering of their time as well. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Bone Lutheran Church, 1101 255th Avenue in Luck, Wisconsin, with one hour visitation prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin.
