Roxie Josephine Kreier, age 87, of Chetek, WI, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home.

She was born on October 28, 1936, in Rice Lake, WI, to Maurice and Esther Kwallek.

Roxie and Elmer were married on July 23, 1955, at Chetek Methodist church. A talented and creative soul, Roxie loved quilting, sewing, and embroidery. She found joy in attending garage sales and cooking delicious meals for her family. Roxie had a soft spot for dogs, dedicating her time to caring for her beloved pets, who brought her endless companionship and joy. Roxie was an active member of the Ladies Aid at her church, she cherished the friendships she made there. Her unwavering commitment to her faith and her church family was evident in her generous spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. Roxie will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her kindness and creativity.

Roxie was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Esther, her loving husband, Elmer Elton Kreier, and her cherished son, Elmer Kreier Jr.

She is survived by her children, John (Sharon) Kreier, Susan (Jim) Rathke, William (Kathy) Kreier, and daughter-in-law Brenda Kreier. Roxie was a proud grandmother to Kathleen Gumbert, Justin Kreier, Brian Kreier, Kenneth Kreier, Michelle Brown, Brent Bazewicz, and Charlotte Glenna, and she adored her 17 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Her Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cameron, WI, on Thursday, October 3, at 11:00 AM, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. A luncheon will follow the service.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
