Sharon Bauer, age 88 of Trego, WI, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at her home.

Sharon Lynn was born April 4, 1938, in Eau Claire, WI, the daughter of Hugh and Eva (Sylte) Toy. She was raised in Eau Claire and graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1957. She moved to Texas and worked as an Airline Hostess for two years. Sharon returned to Eau Claire and on July 25, 1959, she was joined in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Jerome Bauer, in the Sacred Heart Church.

Sharon and Jerome settled on a farm in the Town of Seymour where they raised their family. In 1991, Sharon and Jerome purchased land in Washburn County and in 1998 they started building their retirement home there. The home is a log home and Sharon and Jerome did most of the work to complete the home after the logs were set. Sharon enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables and loved to hostess holiday gatherings for family and friends. Sharon and Jerome were blessed with a very happy life on the farm and at the Trego property.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jerome; three children, Rachel Bauer of Mt. Hood, OR, Mitch (Jennifer) Bauer of Laramie, WY, Dan (Elise) Bauer of Eau Claire, WI; four grandchildren, Jordan (Sarah), Cameron, Chance (Shelby) Samantha (Tony) Ball; four great grandchildren, Berkley, Dawson, Wesley and Emmet; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy Toy; and a brother, Reed Toy.

A funeral service will be held for Sharon at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church in Lampson, WI, with Pastor Joel Heolter officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. Interment will be in the Lampson Cemetery. A luncheon will be at the church following the service.
