Sharon M. Jones, age 88, of Hayward, WI and formerly of Cable, WI passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Hayward Health Services.

Sharon Mildred Winter, better known as Stormy, was born March 7, 1937, in Waupun, WI the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Newcomb) Winter. She was raised and did her schooling in Waupun. She graduated from high school and then attended college for a short time. On December 15, 1957, Stormy was joined in marriage to Charles Westenberg in Watertown, WI. Stormy and Chuck moved to his family farm in Watertown where they raised their children. In 1983, Stormy and Chuck moved to Cable, WI where she worked as a cashier at Rondeau’s True Value. Chuck passed away in 1996. Stormy was married to Charles Jones for a short time in the late 1990’s. Throughout Stormy’s life, she had a great love of singing and was a soloist at numerous weddings. She also enjoyed flower gardening, sketching, oil painting and watching wildlife. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cable.

Stormy is survived by three children, Becky (Bryce) Cook of Parkers Prairie, MN, Cheryl (Jim) Rondeau of Cable, WI, Brad (Leanne) Westenberg of Watertown, WI; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Pat (Duane) Pieper of Helenville, WI; daughter-in-law Jeaunetta; many nieces and nephews and three special friends, Earl, Anita and Alex.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles; one brother, Ronald Winter; one son, Joel Westenberg and one great granddaughter, Vayda Cook.

A memorial service celebrating Stormy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cable. A time of gathering will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church on the day of the service. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Cable.
