Shawn Songetay, a resident of Danbury, WI passed away unexpectedly on September, 14, 2023. Shawn was born on January 30, 1974 in Grantsburg, WI., to parents Dean Garbow and Roxanne Songetay.

Shawn worked as a blackjack dealer and on the handyman crew for St. Croix.

Shawn was an excellent artist and enjoyed drawing, painting and tattooing.

Shawn is preceded in death by his parents.

He will be forever missed by his daughters, Emily (Daylen Feuerhake) Songetay, Jenna Songetay, Lily Songetay and Hannah Songetay; grandchildren, Daylen Jr. and Axel Songetay; sister, Jean Bradshaw; brothers, Terrance Songetay and Delbert Benjamin Jr.; nieces, Raine Benjamin and Skylar Stevens; nephew, Shawn Stevens; along with other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call on Sunday, September 17, 2023 after 6:00 PM at Danbury Tribal Hall in Danbury. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Danbury Tribal Hall in Danbury with Spiritual Leader Chato Gonzales. Interment will follow at Danbury Cemetery.
