In Memory of Becky A. Chaney

May 22, 1951 - September 22, 2016 

Becky was born May 22nd 1951. She passed away September 22, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family. Becky battled 24 years with heart disease, and suffered a stroke in October of 2015. She had congestive heart failure from then on. She fought hard every day since then.

Becky was born in Waterloo Iowa. She graduated from Hampton High School in 1968.

She married Dennis Chaney September 20th, 1969. She had two children, Michelle and Brett. They moved to Wisconsin in 1981. Becky's first job when they moved to Spooner was at the Topper Cafe. From there she worked at Robertson's Family Restaurant and then Foxxy's .She began at Spooner Health Systems as a housekeeper, then joined the Activity Department in the nursing home which is now Maple Ridge Care Center. Becky loved her position in the Activity Dept. She loved her Residents and her Coworkers very much. She has many lifelong friends.

Becky loved to garden and grow household plants - she could grow anything. She enjoyed making crafts of any kind. She was very artistic. She made new games for her Resident's and made lawn, tree, garden, holiday ornaments for herself, family and friends.

Becky left behind her husband Dennis of 47 years of marriage; two children , Michelle ( Patrick) Bartle of Lampson WI and Brett ( Mindy) Chaney of Amery WI; 7 grandchildren,  Brandon, Kierra, Blake , Anthony Chyanne, Chase, James; 3 brothers, Terry Wilkinson of Hampton Iowa, Boone ( Brenda) Wilkinson of Cedar Falls Iowa, and Tom (Jan) of Dows Iowa.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Arlene (Rosaur) Wilkinson, 2 brothers, Michael and Doc Wilkinson, sister-in-law Pamela Mae Wilkinson, and nephew Jesse Wilkinson.

Becky was such a giving person, she donated her body to Science.
There will be a Celebration of her life at the Spooner Funeral Home (formerly Scalzo-Taylor Funeral Home) on Wednesday Sept 28th from 4 pm. to 8 pm. Pastor Jack will be officiating. All friends are welcome.
