Glenn “Sonny” Keller, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Christian Community Home in Osceola, Wisconsin.

He was born on April 27, 1935 to Glenn C. and Olive.

Sonny married his wife, Phyllis Cecelia Hansen, on May 23, 1964, and to this union two children were born Lynelle Thorpe, and Bradley.

Sonny enjoyed the outdoors and the solitude of the woods where he hunted, cut firewood, and had a trap line. He was an avid ice fisherman and agate hunter along with his daughter, Lynelle. Sonny could spend hour’s reminiscing about the “old days” with his siblings, nieces, and nephews. He was also an excellent canner of kraut and beets.

After a long career with the Osceola D.N.R. Fish Hatchery, Sonny spent a great deal of time in the Polk County Jail where he hosted bible studies, and ministered to the inmates as a member of the Gideon’s.

Sonny will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Phyllis; children, Lynelle (Skip) Thorpe, and Bradley (Lisa) Keller; and grandchildren, Craig, Madeleine, Lidia, Angela, Oscar, and Emily.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Alliance Church of the Valley in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin with visitation one hour prior to the service. Sonny will be laid to rest at Sand Lake Cemetery in Dresser, Wisconsin.
