Steven Richard Owens, age 53 of Rice Lake, WI died Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his home. He was born on July 29, 1972 in Wausau, WI to Clyde and Joyce Owens.

Steve graduated from Wausau West High School in 1990, graduated from UW LaCrosse with a degree in Biology and then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic. He owned and operated Owens Chiropractic Clinic and Owens Equine Chiropractic in Rice Lake for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to horse shows, being with his dogs, snowmobiling, camping, being outdoors, working around his farm and spending time with his children. His children were his #1 priority. Steve was a very hard worker, patient, caring, generous, supportive and very loving.

He is survived by his 3 children, Kennedie, Parker and Addison Owens; the mother of his children, Erin Owens; his parents, Clyde and Joyce Owens; 2 brothers, Jeff (Jamie) Owens and Todd (Kim) Owens; extended family members, Em Larsen, Eric Larsen, Gale (Matthew) Gores, Kris (Jason) Crnic; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
