June 3, 1940  -  June 22, 2017 

Widmer, Susan, Born 6/3/40, spent her last day at a Northwoods cabin with the wind ruffling her hair and surrounded by her beloved family. Preceded in death by husband Doug of 53 years, and parents Emily and Edward Hoffman. Survived by children Konnie Guetschoff, Jennifer Meyer (Will), and Jeff Widmer (Tanya). Grandchildren Kassandra and Kourtney Young, Bryce Guetschoff, Taylor Hawkins, Wyatt, Weston, and Isabella Widmer, Skylar, and Camden Endley, and Evan, Redmond, and Slate Meyer.

She worked as a rural postal carrier for many years and kept many of her best friends from those years. Sue was the quintessential matriarch. She was everybody's second mom. Her children were avid participants in High School Rodeo where she, again, became "Rodeo Mom" to many more teens who became lifelong friends. She and Doug opened their home and hearts for extended periods to countless family members over the years. She had a knack for making everyone she met feel like part of her family. A raised voice was not her style, but her children would move heaven and earth not to "disappoint" her: a fate worse than death! Life will not be the same without this strong and loving woman
