In Memory of Suzette G. Thompson
Suzette Thompson, age 58, of Dallas, died Friday February 28th, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born January 1, 1967 in Fullerton, CA, to Daniel and Janette (Hamner) Young. She married Joel Thompson on September 28th, 1985.
Suzette was much beloved by her family, whom she adored. She was persistently joyful in every situation. Her love was boundless and kind. She will be fondly remembered for her endless curiosity and learning. She wanted to know about everything, whether it was about her hobbies, her family’s interests, or whatever life handed to her. She enjoyed cooking and sewing, and always had a book and her knitting with her.
Suzette was passionate about teaching. She homeschooled her four children and was always eager to discuss education with anyone who shared her interest. She especially loved to teach the Bible to children and did so, exquisitely well, as often as she was able throughout her whole life.
Surviving Suzette are her husband, Joel Thompson; her parents, Daniel and Janette Young; her sister, Gwynette (Jeff) Werth; her children: Danette (Michael) Van Dusseldorp, Brita (James) Rust, Hanne (Caleb) Moyer, and Bensend (Nichole) Thompson; her grandchildren: Arlo Moyer, Cordelia Moyer, and Matthais Thompson. She is also survived by her aunts: Deanna (Dean) Werelius, Vicki (Gene) Hogg, uncles: Michael (Nancy) Young, Curt (Rhonda) Hamner; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are a sister, Danette Young.
