
In Memory of Theodore "Ted" J. Workman
Theodore “Teddy” Workman, age 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Prairie Farm, Tuesday, December 16.
He was born on January 18, 1959 to Carroll and Marion (Beranek) Workman at the Rice Lake Hospital. Ted was a steel worker most of his life, retiring from Excelsior Mill in Rice Lake.
After his retirement, Ted enjoyed spending time with his wife, Jean, watching the birds and deer playing in the yard. He also enjoyed going out and playing on his skid steer.
Ted loved spending time with his wife as they picked berries or planted the garden. He loved surprising her with bouquets of wild flowers. Ted was also a huge Packer fan.
Ted married Jean on November 6, 1999 at the Foursquare Church in Barron.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Jean; son, Justin Workman of Thailand; step-children, Cheryl Adams of Newburg, Missouri, Robert Watts of Cumberland and Malinda Campbell of Cameron; 8 grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Joy) Workman, Nancy Elliot; Jeff (Roda) Workman, Suzanne (Tony) Bellman and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Marion; and brother-in-law, Bill Elliott.
A visitation for Ted will be held at Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron on December 27 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.
