Thomas Eugene Hogen, age 81 of Birchwood, WI, died Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Rice Lake, WI.

After Thomas graduated from High School he entered the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam Era and was later Honorably Discharged. He was married to Lorraine Piram and they spent many years together. Thomas was a decorated Police Officer for the St. Paul Police Department for 29 years. His lifelong passion was hunting and fishing and he enjoyed these interests for over 20 years after his retirement.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Elise Hogen; 3 brothers, Ray (Mary Chapa) Hogen, Larry (Judy) Hogen and Buzz; 2 sisters, June Hogen Weber and Rosemary Hogen Hildebrand; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; son, Scott Paul Hogen; his parents, Fred and Rose Hogen; sister, Sis Nyman; and sister-in-law, Sandy Hogen.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:30PM Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals, with Father Adam Laski and Rev. Dan Tabor officiating.

Military Rites will be accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard at 3:20PM. Visitation will be held from 1:30-3:30PM Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI.
