Thomas P. Jackson, age 87, of Barron passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Monroe Manor.

He was born on March 31, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Thomas, Sr. and Mae (Geringer) Jackson. He worked as a shop superintendent at Admiral Steel in Alsip, Illinois.

Thomas married Kathryn Bock on June 22, 1957 in Alsip. They moved to Bruce in 1972, where he worked at Pug Manufacturing and did various carpentry jobs. In 1975, he and his wife dairy farmed in Weyerhaeuser until 1989. They then moved to Barron to work as an assistant farm manager at Jennie-O for seventeen years, retiring in 2006.

He enjoyed garage sales and auctions and having his own garage sales. He also enjoyed talking with people and lending a hand to others.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Barron; son, Thomas (Dawn) Jackson of Weyerhaeuser; daughter, Laura (John) Melberg of Birchwood; grandchildren Gregory Prorok, Crystal (Chad) Poznikowich and Kelly (Jeremy) Mitchell; great-grandchildren Jackson and Claire Poznikowich, Brandon Engel and Amara Mitchell; sister, Carolyn Thompson of Oklahoma; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; and sister, Diane Stage.
