
In Memory of Thomas W. Laumeyer
Thomas W. Laumeyer, age 70 of rural Clayton, WI, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at his home.
Thomas Walter Laumeyer was born on January 1, 1956, in St. Paul, MN, the son of Walter & Joanne (Smith) Laumeyer. He grew up in Inver Grove Heights, MN and graduated from Simley High School 1974.
Thomas was married to Lorie Husman on June 4, 1977 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Inver Grove Heights. Together they made their home there and raised 3 children, Jason, Nicholas & Katie. During this time Thomas worked at TruParts/Tisco in West St. Paul for many years and was also a volunteer member for the Inver Grove Heights Fire Department. In 1988 he moved his family to New Richmond, WI, and later went on to work for a short time at Menards in Hudson, WI and served as a deputy Medical Examiner for St. Croix County.
In 2014, Thomas moved again, this time to Clayton/Reeve, WI. He worked at Midwest Ducts/Luk-Jan in Prairie Farm, WI until his retirement in 2022. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers, listing to the Milwaukee Brewers and Eau Claire Express on the radio, collecting tractors, fire trucks and attending auctions. He was known for keeping tabs with the goings on in his neighborhood, enjoyed engaging in conversation with family, friends and strangers. He especially loved his “Grand Puppies” Miley & Macy and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Laumeyer. He is survived by his wife, Lorie Laumeyer; Children: Jason (Carolyn) Laumeyer, Nicholas Laumeyer (Jacki Thompson), Katie Laumeyer; Grandchildren: Logan Laumeyer (Lexi McCracken), Hunter Heidinger, Tanner Heidinger & Tucker Heidinger; Father: Walter Laumeyer, Brothers; Robert Laumeyer, Ron Laumeyer, Don Laumeyer, Bill (Chris) Laumeyer, Many nieces, nephews, family & friends.
Celebration of Life from 11am to 1pm, on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Scheuermann Funeral Home in Clear Lake, WI.
Prayer Service at 1 PM on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Scheuermann Funeral Home.
