Vonna Duch, age 91, a resident of Spooner, died on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Spooner Health, with family at her side, after a brief ailment.

Vonna was born on July 20, 1934, in Arlington, Iowa, one of eight children that would be born to Lloyd and Matie (Ladwig) Cook. While a child, she moved with her family to the Spooner area where she would live the remainder of her life. Vonna will be remembered for her wonderful homemade bread, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, of which family was so import to her.

Vonna is survived by her children: Debra Avery of Overland Park, KS, Trudy (Buck) Hanacek of Spooner, WI, Duncan (Roxanne) Hanacek of Trego, WI, Cullan (Kathy) Hanacek of Spooner, WI, Audra (Russell) Hunt of Kearney, MO, Ron (Won) Duch of Menomonie, WI, Barb (LeRoy) Haynes of Sarona, WI, 25 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Vonna is preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be at the Spooner Cemetery.
