Wayne Albin Novy, age 90, of Hayward, WI, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Hayward Health Services in Hayward, WI. He was born on April 29, 1935, in Hillsboro, WI, the son of Albin and Martha (Kratche) Novy. He was united in marriage to Donna Jean Miller on November 21, 1959, at St. Mary of the Lake near Madison, WI.

Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had a successful 45-year career with Sub-Zero Freezer Company in Madison, WI. Wayne loved to play golf and would play several rounds in a day. He enjoyed playing in bowling leagues with his wife and son. He also enjoyed woodworking and everything outdoors, especially fishing. He cherished time on his deck with a good beer and his dog.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Donna Novy of Hayward, WI; his children, Darlene (John) Hanson of Madison, WI, Duane Novy of Montello, WI and Karin (Al) Kraft of Columbus, WI; his grandchildren, Kori (Nate) Anderson, Megan (fiancé Zach) Koch, Steve (Jessica) Koch, Brianne (Jackson) McMahon, Owen Novy, Alayna (Scott) Logan, Samantha (Alex) Seib, and Zach Seib; his great-grandchildren, Isaac, Everett, Ryland, Lylah, Henry “Hank”, and Aylie; his sister, Janice (Ken “Rusty”) Aberle of Pardeeville, WI; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his sisters, Darlene Novy and Arlene Werner, and his brother, Jim Novy.
