July 27, 1934  -  July 7, 2017

Wayne Ligler, age 82, a resident of Trego, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017, at his home surrounded by family.

Wayne C. Ligler was born on July 27, 1934 in Cicero, Illinois.  After graduation from High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served during the Korean War.  On August 11, 1962, Wayne was united in marriage to Caryl Kruse in Madison, Wisconsin.  Wayne was an avid outdoorsman that led him to a career as an outfitter for hunting trips in Canada and also Africa.  Wayne attended, and was a member, of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spooner. 

Wayne is survived by his wife of 54 years, Caryl, sons Keith and friend Sally, Steve and wife Gamze, granddaughter Katherine and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Regional Hospice and the Doctors and Nurses who so kindly cared for Wayne, and a special thank you to someone who wishes to be unnamed but she knows who she is. 

A private family service for Wayne Ligler is being planned.
