April 26, 1990 - November 21, 2016

William Thomas Christ, age 26, born April 26, 1990, passed into the hands of God on November 21, 2016 and will remain in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him during the short time William was with us here on earth. 

William, also known as Willie, Will and Uncle Will, was born and raised in Shell Lake, WI, where he touched so many of our lives through his wonderful smile, great sense of humor and the true kindness in his heart. William loved helping others and working with youth whether it was through teaching swimming lessons and life guarding for the Red Cross; educating young wrestlers through the youth wrestling programs/clinics; coaching varsity wrestling; or simply playing with his beloved nephews and niece. Will was always quick to bring a smile to someone’s face with his wit and charm. 

William enjoyed sharing his love for music, knowledge of wrestling and his sense of humor with as many acquaintances, friends, family and loved ones as God put in his life. He had a true desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those around him and a unique ability to connect with others. William treasured his family and friends and loved them very deeply. If you were lucky enough to be a part of Will’s life you were truly blessed.  

William will be dearly missed but never forgotten. We rejoice knowing Will is watching over us all from heaven as he rests in peace with the Good Lord above. 

William is survived by Caitlin Christ; his parents: Thomas J. Christ and Joni Paffel-Christ; sisters: Sadie Foss and Hanna (Scott) Jepperson; nephews: Jax Foss and Charles Jepperson; niece Cora Foss; paternal grandmother Arlene Christ and maternal grandfather Charles Paffel; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by: paternal grandfather Gail Christ, maternal grandmother Helen Paffel and cousin Shawn Christ. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church - Spooner with Revs. Bala Showry and Andrew Ricci officiating. Burial will be in Spooner Cemetery. Visitation and time to say goodbye will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the Skinner Funeral Home in Shell Lake and for 1 hour prior to Mass on Saturday at the church.
