Alcohol Believed To Be Factor After Operator Drives Vehicle Into Cumberland City Hall Building

CUMBERLAND, WI — A vehicle-vs-building crash occurred early Tuesday morning in Cumberland, WI, that involved an operator of a vehicle driving into the City Hall building, according to a Cumberland Police Department post on Facebook.

“Not a great way to start a Tuesday morning...If you heard the commotion early this morning (3am) it was a vehicle driving through the front doors of the City Hall building. The incident is currently under investigation but alcohol and resentment about a citation are believed to be factors per the vehicle operators admissions. No one was injured, thankfully.”

The Police are asking that people avoid City Hall for the time being until they can get the glass cleaned up and make sure the area is free of safety hazards.
