Northwest Wisconsin — DrydenWire’s long-form weekly shows, hosted by DrydenWire.com founder Ben Dryden, will soon be making the jump from Facebook Live to YouTube Live — exclusively. Starting in September, viewers will need to head to DrydenWire’s YouTube channel to watch the shows live.
The change comes after Facebook’s new policy that deletes videos after 30 days, removing them from archives. In the past, DrydenWire aired live shows on Facebook and then uploaded the recordings to YouTube for permanent storage. Thankfully, that practice preserved hundreds of past episodes — but all previous live shows that were only on Facebook are now gone.
“Times change, and we have to adapt,” said Ben Dryden. “We’ll still post announcements of upcoming live shows on our Facebook page, but to watch them live, you’ll need to be on YouTube.”
Why YouTube?
- Never miss a show — YouTube lets you subscribe and get notified instantly when we go live.
- Permanent archives — All episodes stay available unless we choose to remove them.
- Better notifications — Unlike Facebook, YouTube actually alerts subscribers when shows are streaming live.
