New Physical Therapy Providers Join The Spooner Health Team

SPOONER, WI – Spooner Health is excited to welcome two new physical therapists, joining its growing and dynamic Rehabilitation Services team. With these additions, the physical therapy team now includes seven skilled providers, specializing in areas such as orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, neurological conditions, lymphedema, pelvic health, and much more. In addition to physical therapy, the rehabilitation services department also includes providers specializing in Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.

Cassidy Kransberger, Doctor of Physical Therapy, joined the team in June and has already made a positive impact on patient care. Originally from the Shell Lake area, Cassidy earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from UW-La Crosse and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Indiana Wesleyan University.

“I love to work with patients who have had a stroke to improve their balance, strength, coordination, and independence! Other interests of mine include pelvic floor therapy, balance training, and other neurological conditions such as Parkinson's Disease and brain injuries,” shared Cassidy. “Choosing Spooner Health was an easy decision for me, because it is rewarding to give back to the community that I grew up in! Spooner Health has been a great place to work as everyone is so friendly and helpful, and the patient is at the center of everyone's focus!”

Nathan Stevens, Doctor of Physical Therapy, joined the department in July. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of St. Thomas and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University.

“I enjoy working with general orthopedic populations, sport injuries and rehab for runners,” said Nathan. “I chose Spooner Health because of the great culture and dedication to patient care.”

The Rehabilitation Services team at Spooner Health is committed to helping patients achieve the highest quality of life possible. Recognizing the growing need for physical therapy services in the community, Rehabilitation Services Director Mavis Melton is enthusiastic about the expanded team.

“Having Cassidy and Nathan join our rehab team is truly a blessing,” shared Mavis. “It is remarkable to see their enthusiasm, work ethic, and clinical decision-making skills shine so early in their careers as physical therapists! They are committed to providing optimal care for a wide array of patients and have enhanced our department’s ability to serve our community’s therapy needs in the best possible way!”
