Record-Breaking Fundraiser Supports Shell Lake’s 3rd Of July Celebration

SHELL LAKE, WI — The 3rd of July Pork Fundraiser in Shell Lake was a sizzling success this year, raising a record-breaking $2,867.00 to support Shell Lake's 3rd of July Fireworks and Street Dance.

The community turned out in force to support the beloved tradition, enjoying pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans, and sweet treats — all generously donated by local businesses and families who continue to make this event possible year after year.

“This event truly shows what our community can do when we come together,” said organizer Matt Dryden. “Without the generosity of our local businesses and the hard work of volunteers, none of this would be possible.”

Sawyer Creek Cattle Company and Fischer Property Group donated the pig for roasting, with extra roasts provided by The Body Shop Fitness Centers. Schmitz’s Economart contributed the beans and coleslaw mix, while Manion Foods provided the buns. Dessert came courtesy of Matt’s Ice Cream Stand, which donated both ice cream cones and shave ice — a cool treat on a warm summer day.

The event wouldn’t have been possible without the many hands behind the scenes. Brown Construction donated their time and expertise to cook the meat to perfection. Celebrations Tent and Party Rentals supplied the tent, tables, and chairs, while the Shell Lake Chamber provided use of roasters and serving tables. Advertising for the event was covered by DrydenWire.com.

Special thanks go out to the Dryden, Schwarz, and Kildow families for their hard work in setting up, serving, and cleaning up.

As the community now looks ahead to the 3rd of July celebration, the success of this fundraiser ensures a spectacular evening of fireworks and music for all to enjoy.

If you happen to see one of the individuals or businesses who helped make this year’s fundraiser a success, take a moment to thank them. Their commitment continues to keep Shell Lake’s 3rd of July tradition alive and thriving.

We can’t wait to see you all on July 3rd!
