April 5, 1927  -  June 25, 2017

Adrian Francis Kalstabakken, Age 90, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 25 surrounded by his family at his farm in Spooner, WI.  Born April 5, 1927 in the Township of Elmira, Olmsted County,  to Frieda Lundt Kalstabakken and Oscar Kalstabakken.  He was baptized May 15, 1927 at Root Prairie Lutheran Church, Fountain, MN and confirmed May 17, 1942 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chatfield, MN.  He served as a Medic in the
U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War.  He married Emmaline Opal Owens on November 21, 1953 in Chatfield, MN.  Adrian retired from Armour & Co.  Through his lifetime he had many hobbies ranging from trapping and coon hunting to a catering business with his wife.  His popcorn truck was a familiar sight in So. St. Paul, St. Paul Park and Cottage Grove.  In 1979, he and Emmaline returned to his family roots of farming
when they bought their farm in Spooner.  Adrian and Emmaline sold vegetables from their home, the famers market and roadside stands.  You could find his great tasting green beans at the local grocery store. If you drive by County Highway A & N, you would see his famous sign which
says "Adrian's Got Wood - Firewood".  Adrian and his wife, Emmaline, were loving and generous people who always opened their hearts and home
to all.

Adrian was pre-deceased in death by his wife, Emmaline, his parents, sister LaVonne Burke and other extended family members.  He is survived by his children Sandra (John) Schiefelbein, Ronald (Lupe), Adrian Jr. (Angie), Terry, Michelle (Marty) Douglas and Sherren (Mike) Strzelecki, Grandchildren Barry & Matthew Schiefelbein, Ronald Jr. & Jason Kalstabakken, Michael & Sean Richman, Lindsey Merta, Mitchell
Kalstabakken Desiree Wendell, Mammie Olson, Alexis Clauson, Heather Pierce, Rachel Strzelecki, numerous Great-Grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and many that considered him "Grandpa".  He was dearly loved by other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be at 1 PM, July 7, 2017 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Spooner.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment immediately following at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with a luncheon following at the church.
