Carla Frances Neuenschwander, age 85, of Birchwood, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her bedside.

Carla was born on July 13, 1939, to Alvan and Ruth (Michaels) Rothermel in Illinois. On January 4, 1958, she was united in marriage to Glen Neuenschwander, and they spent 67 wonderful years together. Carla worked at Ohmeda as an electronic technician for 30 years. She was actively involved in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and was one of the first women on Evansville EMS. As her career advanced, she became an instructor for the State EMS program for many years at Blackhawk Technical College. In her free time, she loved spending time at the lake.

Carla is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Glen; a daughter, Diana Neuenschwander; 2 sons, Glen Neuenschwander Jr. and Ron Neuenschwander; Grandchildren, Sarah Neuenschwander (Klay Dempsey); Jordan Neuenschwander, Nicole Neuenschwander Bravo (Denise) and Alex Neuenschwander; great-grandchild, Mattienly Zamecnik; 3 sisters, Ruth (John) Gentry, Elizabeth (Jerry) Adams and Deanna (Bob) Beckwith She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Alvan; 2 sisters, Janice (Nate) Farmer and Annette (Willy) Ruef.

Private Family Services will be held at her home in Birchwood, Wisconsin.
