In Memory of Crystal L. Marschel
Crystal Lee (Donahue) Marschel was born in Maplewood Minnesota, June 26, 1993, to Heather & Scott Donahue. She was torn from this life tragically on July 18, 2025.
Crystal spent most of her youth growing up in Milltown, Wisconsin. After graduating from Unity High School in Balsam Lake WI, she enrolled in St. Cloud State University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in education. Crystal naturally had a calling, given her own sports background, to coach where she took root in Pierz, Minnesota.
Crystal’s children were the center of her universe she loved them to the moon and back. They were her everything and would do anything for Ellie and Clayton. Being their mom was the greatest joy of her life.
She loved life, especially the freedom of the outdoors. Camping, fishing, and golfing provided the joy in her voice and the sparkle in her eyes.
As an educator, she hoped to share these same passions with her students, as well as with her young children.
Her loving touch on another's success was truly her coveted reward. “Good Job” was her favorite expression as a proud mentor. A true Vikings fan, her cheer will forever echo in the U.S. Bank stadium!
Crystal was so much, in so many ways, to so many people. Her loss will affect us all, her inspiration will never be lost, and her love for us all will never be forgotten.
Crystal was preceded in death by her Grandpa Mark Nelson, and Grandpa Guy Donahue; and Aunts Shannon (Donahue) Zbleski and Terra Donahue.
She is survived by her children, Ellie (5) & Clayton (3) Marschel; Mother, Heather Donahue; Father, Scott (Kendra) Donahue; brother, Austin (Katelyn) Donahue; her children’s father, Austen Marschel; grandparents, Linda Nelson and Diane Gervais (Jerry); aunt, Robyn Nelson; cousins, Kaylee Kosse, McKenna Kosse and DeNae; other extended family and many friends.
Rest peacefully our spirited angel!
