Donald A. McFarlane Jr, 52, of Spooner passed peacefully, on July 17, 2023, at his home.

He was born September 8, 1970, in Spooner, WI to Donald and Maxine (Bedford) McFarlane. Don was raised in Spooner and graduated from Spooner High School.

Don worked in the masons union and did various jobs in the sawmill. He was a jack of all trades! There was almost nothing that he could not fix. Don loved fishing, telling stories, and doing things “Donny’s way” when something did not work out as he had hoped.

He is survived by the love of his life, Debbie; children: Blake, Olivia, Maghan, Shawn, and Emily; sisters: Rocky (Donny) Lester, Sandy (Ron) Lester, Barbie (Randy Runquist) Ferguson, and Teresa (Mike Schwartzbaur) McFarlane; aunts: Bonnie McFarlane and Margie McCormick; several nieces and nephews; a great niece and a great nephew; and other family and friends. Donny was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Lakeview Methodist Church in Hertel with Pastor Ferdinand Serra officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery following the service. Honorary pallbearer is Lee Ferguson. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM the day of the service.
