In Memory of Heidi Stoeberl
Heidi was born and raised in Amery to Marvin and Toni (Keifer) Johnson on July 12, 1959. She was the youngest child of the Johnson family.
On August 21, 1982, Heidi married Arnie Stoeberl. From this union she gained a stepson, Kenny. Together Heidi and Arnie made a life wherever they landed having moved frequently throughout their years together. Arnie was always in charge of the “outdoor work“ and Heidi took care of life inside the house. They were a team no matter where the road took them. In 1992, they moved from Waupaca Wisconsin to Lawrenceburg Kentucky. A big move for the whole family.
Having left high school in 1976 to give birth to her daughter Jill, Heidi was proud to announce that she had successfully completed her GED classes and received her diploma in 1994. This was a dream come true for her.
Several years after moving to Lawrenceburg, they purchased Doc's Liquor, a small and friendly drive-thru liquor store and beer bar. They established a successful atmosphere and made many lasting friendships and memories with the clientele.
Upon selling the business, they moved to Oneida, Tennessee for a few years before eventually moving back home to Wisconsin where they purchased their forever home. It was here that Heidi reconnected with family and friends and found a love of gardening, canning and cooking the best meals ever. The move back to Wisconsin brought abundant memories made; quick access to family and grandkids for overnight visits, family gatherings, all which were special to her.
With Arnie, they enjoyed peaceful nights outside on the patio swing, listening to the birds, awaiting the bears that would hang out on the bird feeders or in the pine trees of their driveway.
Heidi was a hard woman. Having experienced her share of pain and trauma in her early years, she developed a tough exterior and attitude. While hugely misunderstood, if you were in her life, she loved you deeply and did her best to show you.
On August 13, 2025, Heidi passed away at home wrapped in God‘s loving embrace
