
In Memory of Jeff Ladd
Jeff Ladd, age 53, of Chetek, WI, died Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the Mayo Health System in Eau Claire, WI due to a chainsaw accident. He was born on December 2, 1971 in Cumberland, WI to Duewane and Kathryn (Lashmett) Ladd.
Jeff graduated from Cumberland High School in 1990, graduating from UW River Falls with a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Agricultural Science. He was married to Penny Lawrence on August 5, 1995 in Shell Lake, WI. Jeff was an Agricultural/Tech Ed teacher at Auburndale High School from 1996-2005 and at Cameron High School from 2005-2025. He loved coaching wrestling and powerlifting; was the FFA Advisor and an alumni; he was part of the Learn to Hunt Program, and the National Turkey Federation. He taught hunter safety, tractor safety, boating safety, ATV safety and snowmobile safety. His passions were his students, deer hunting, turkey hunting, goose hunting, duck hunting, weight lifting, and working. Most of all he was proud of his wife and his children. He was dippy, very animated, giving, generous, loved staying busy, and a workaholic.
He is survived by his loving wife, Penny Ladd; 3 children, Remington, Rylee and Reyana; his parents, Duewane Ladd and Kathryn “Cathy” Ladd; 2 brothers, Jason Ladd and Jeremy Ladd; a sister, Julie Ladd Beecroft; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by a nephew, Dustin Ladd; and a niece, Aarika Osmondson.
A celebration of life will be held from 11AM-3PM Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Living Water Church in Cameron, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to carry on his passions.
