In Memory of Kathleen M. Meyers (née Jasicki)
Kathleen “Kathy” Myrtle Meyers (née Jasicki) was born on November 3, 1940, to Myrtle and Wallace Jasicki. She was part of a large, loving extended family of Zebro’s and Jasicki’s and was one of nine siblings, whom she cherished deeply.
Kathy spent many joyful summers on her Uncle Bobby’s farm in Weyerhauser, Wisconsin—memories she held fondly.
In 1957, she met the love of her life, Jon Meyers. They were married on August 11, 1962, and began their life together in Northeast Minneapolis. Together they raised four children: Daniel, David, Dale, and Kathleen. In 1973, they purchased land in Frederic, Wisconsin, where they built their hobby farm and lifelong home.
Kathy held various jobs throughout her life, from typing for General Mills to growing cucumbers for Gedney’s. However, her most treasured roles were those of wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She poured her heart into her family, often sewing dresses and nightgowns for her daughter and granddaughters. One of her proudest achievements was sewing all the dresses for her daughter’s bridal party.
She loved polka dancing, animals—especially her dogs—and gardening, with a special fondness for tomatoes. Kathy adored her farm, rural life, and above all, her faith in Jesus. Her greatest joys were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Kathy will always be remembered for her quick wit, humble spirit, and quiet strength. She never complained and always found a way to bring warmth and calm to those around her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son, David; parents, Wallace and Myrtle; and her brother, Ted.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Jon; her sons Dan (Tammy) and Dale; and her daughter Kathleen (Eric). her siblings, Maryann, Tim, Terry, Tom, Valerie, Todd, and Troy. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Gabrielle, Bethany, Hannah, Zachariah, Temma, Isabelle, Maximillian, Francesca, Rocco, Bruno, Tasha, AJ, Allison, and Annie; along with 28—soon to be 29—great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her devoted dog, Doc, who was always by her side.
"Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
