Ronald Allen Strand Age 89, of Rice Lake, WI, died Thursday, April 6, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 3, 1933 in Rice Lake to Norman and Olga (Skar) Strand on the family farm and he lived on the farm his whole life.

Ronald graduated from Rice Lake High School and was a dairy farmer all his life. He married Nancy Kerber on November 24, 1962 in Rice Lake. He loved to go bowling, gardening and going to auctions. Ronald enjoyed going to coffee and breakfast with the guys at Hardees, Lonas and Nancy’s Cafe every morning.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Strand; 3 children, Ron (Mary Jo) Strand, Corinne Raatz, and Christine (Mark) Tomesh; 11 grandchildren, Adam, Jeremiah, Curtis, Kimberly, Jordan, Drake, Michelle, Jacey, Riley, Dakota and Bentley; 8 great grandchildren, Kamdyn, Brooks, Olivia, Carter, Cullen, Oaklynn, Lane and Kashton; 2 sisters-in-law, Florence Strand and Donna Amerson; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Olga Strand; a son-in-law, Ronald Raatz; great granddaughter, Haeven Strand-Dostal; 4 brothers, Morris, Gordon “Red”, Bud and Clarence; 5 sisters, Inez, Edna, Gloria, Betty and Karen.

Funeral Services will be held at 4PM Monday, April 17, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Rev. Sue Eidahl officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-4PM Monday, April 17 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals. There will be a dinner served at the Rice Lake Moose Lodge following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Marshfield Medical Center Hospice.
