In Memory of Sharon L. Rosenbush

August 21, 1941 - May 20, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Lee Rosenbush neé Meintsma. Sharon passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, at the age of 83, of natural causes in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on August 21, 1941.

Sharon was the beloved daughter of the late Stanley Meintsma and Garnet Jeanette Rand. She spent her formative years growing up in Maple Lake, Minnesota, where she undoubtedly began cultivating the spirit that would define her life. Sharon was the oldest of 12 children, with five brothers and six sisters, and she had a special fondness for going to her Aunt Velda’s house.

Sharon was a homemaker, a nurse’s aide, and even drove a shuttle bus for a casino. She also drove a semi-truck with her husband in their trucking business as owner-operators. Sharon loved to cook, dance and cherished her kids and grandkids above all else. She enjoyed people, truly loved life, and had a passion for her flower garden.

Sharon was known for her strength, generosity, and, famously, for having “nine lives.” She courageously battled three bouts of cancer, overcame COVID and shingles, and faced significant health challenges including lymphedema, heart failure, and a severe head injury. She was a generous, kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, and she especially loved sharing her life stories. Sharon also had many close friends.

Sharon was preceded in passing by her parents, Stanley Meinsma and Garnet Jeanette Rand; her husband, Bill Rosenbush; her brother, Russell; her sister, Carol; her daughter, Jeanette; and her grandson, Mark.

She is survived by her six children: Charlene, Holly, Melody, Tracy, Beverly, and Chuck; her nineteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and her nine siblings: Marlys, Noreen, Patty, Ron, Julie, Mike, Jeff, Rodney, and Corinne.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Little Falls Lutheran Church in Amery, Wisconsin. Visitation for Sharon will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the Little Falls Cemetery, in Amery, Wisconsin.
