BARRON COUNTY (DrydenWire) – The Court has sentenced a former Chetek, WI, man who was convicted by a Barron County Jury in April 2025 of making terrorist threats.
The charges were filed in March 2024 against Matthew Gaede, age 35, following a sequence of events during which Gaede posted threatening comments online following the outcome of a family court case in Barron County Circuit Court, and called the office of a Barron County Judge, making threatening statements over the phone.
Gaede has now been sentenced by Barron County Judge Samuel Lawton.
