SPOONER, WI -- Lakeland Family Resource Center is excited to announce that it has been accredited as a Family Resource Center of Quality (FRC-Q) by Thriving Wisconsin.
Lakeland Family Resource Center is a nonprofit organization with a 29-year history of serving families across northwestern Wisconsin. Through evidence-based programs, parenting support, resource coordination, and early childhood services, Lakeland Family Resource Center promotes
strong families and healthy child development. The organization collaborates closely with schools, local county and community agencies to ensure families have the tools and support they need to be successful.
“Achieving FRC-Q accreditation is a meaningful milestone for our organization,” says Renee Brown, Executive Director.
“Our entire team has worked hard over the past two years and this accreditation is a validation of our continued commitment to deliver high-quality,
family-centered services that truly make a difference.”

Lakeland Family Resource Center achieved the FRC-Q accreditation by demonstrating the application of FRC Best Practices throughout the organization. Lakeland Family Resource Center engaged in robust professional development that included parent leadership, protective factors, and the Wisconsin Core Competencies for Family Support Professionals to ensure that all of the standards of quality were met and are embedded into all core areas of service. The foundational infrastructure components include integrated action planning, evaluation and continuous quality improvement, a comprehensive application process reviewed and approved by Thriving Wisconsin.
