BARRON COUNTY — A man charged with multiple counts of child sexual assault may have victimized others at a campground near Chetek in the 1990s, according to a press release from the Barron County Sheriff’s Office.

Robert Karstensen, 82 years old, of Eau Claire WI, has been charged with 11 counts of crimes related to sexual assault of a child in Eau Claire County Circuit Court.
The crimes he is charged with are alleged to have occurred in the 1990’s and 2000’s.
During the course of the investigation leading up to these charges, it was discovered that he may have victimized additional individuals through connections at the Chetek River Campground near Chetek, WI from 1994 – 1998.
