
In Memory of Eileen J. Smith
Eileen J. Smith, age 84 of Dresser, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Eileen was born on July 9, 1941 in her grandmothers’ Hayden Home in Carver County, Minnesota to parents, Kenneth and Dorothy (Hayden) Smith. She attended and graduated from Osseo High School with the class of 1959. After graduating she attended Minneapolis Community Technical College where she studied graphics. She later attended the Minnesota School of Business and studied secretarial and receptionist. Eileen worked at Ryserson Steel, International Dairy Queen and for many years at Honeywell where she retired as office administrator.
Eileen was a lady of many talents and involved in many things. In her earlier years she was the recipient of the Athena Award at Osseo High School as the best female athlete, she loved China and Oil Painting, sewing and making dresses and clothing for family members, watching the Hallmark Channel, mud volleyball as well as playing and coaching softball and volleyball; biking and fishing and being outside in nature. Her chance to finally live on a lake. She was a clown and active member of her clown club, she loved Christmas and the special time it provided with family and friends. She mentored young people and provided a safe place for them to stay if needed. She was always present and supported her grandchildren at their events. Most of all she loved her dogs and had a special place them and especially loved her son, Brian and his wife Christine and grandchildren, Sara and Cole and lastly she loved her Jesus!
Eileen is survived by her son, Brian (Christine) Smith; grandchildren, Sara Smith and Cole (Megan) Smith; brothers, Bruce (Jane) Smith, Eugene Smith and Ronald (Julie) Smith; sisters, Eleanor Winebrenner and Elaine Dolislauger as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Dorothy and brother Arnie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Lakes Free Church in Lindstrom. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday. Interment will follow the service at Franconia Cemetery.
