
In Memory of Scott Roux
Scott Douglas Anthony Roux, age 63, of Pickerel, WI, formerly of Rice Lake, WI, died of natural causes on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at his home in Pickerel. He was born on September 13, 1961 at Deaconess Hospital in Milwaukee, WI to Dennis Roux and Neola Smith.
Scott attended High School at Polaski High School and Greendale High School both in Milwaukee, WI. He received a degree in Marketing at Chabot University in Hayward, California. He worked for RJ Reynolds/Conwood for 27 years before he retired. Scott was passionate about his work and would be one of their top sales representatives. Scott was married to Deborah Nagler on October 11, 1997 Scott was passionate about life and sharing what he’s learned with others. He saw everyone's potential. He made it his goal to help the next generation find their purpose. When he was not helping people, he was found surrounded by family and friends.
Scott was a very wise man, had great strength, a great sense of humor, very notable, honorable and selfless. Scott was an author of a published book named - Everything has meaning (which was an autobiography of his life). He was a contributor to St. Jude’s Ranch in Boulder City, Nevada, a member of the Boulder City, Nevada Elk’s Lodge, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer at Boulder City, Nevada and Rice Lake, WI Senior Citizen Center.
He is survived by his children, Ryan Roux and Kaitlyn Roux; his mother and stepfather, Neola Smith and John Simpson; stepmother, Francine Roux; 2 brothers, Gregory Roux and Jeffrey (Andrina) Crisp; a sister, Sherry Simpson; his ex wife, Deborah Nagler; his partner, Anita Pocius; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Roux; and many extended family members. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dobie, WI, Father Isaiah Schick officiating, with interment in the Church Cemetery, where Full Military Rites will be accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guards. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Wednesday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI and for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
